Mark Reeter accepted the administrator’s job with three decades of experience in local government under his belt, and he spent much of that time in rural economic and administrative roles.

“He’s hit the ground running,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman Travis Moskalski.

Reeter began the job as the county’s top administrative official on March 1, replacing interim administrator Sanford Wanner.

Reeter said he is still getting acclimated with King William, and he wants to meet with supervisors to hear their thoughts and vision for the county. He pointed to economic growth in tourism as well as the importance of broadband internet as long-term goals of the county.

“I’m wearing the economic development hat in King William,” Reeter said.
