Jella Martens’s work focuses on digital photo collage and pencil sketches of landscapes.

Quivering forest is a personal project which he created through the combination of imagery and graphics.

Creating this rouged pattern during the editing process, Jelle Martens was able to design an aesthetic which has a great balance of contrasting colours.

They resemble handmade collages with more of an organised format – created through digital means. Making a more precise piece of work.

The majority of Martens work is based around simplicity.

This is achieved through black and white photography, coloured photography as well as graphic design. The selection of colours and graphic prints makes this eye pleasing, as well as giving the work a three dimensional effect.

His works are mostly created using geometric shapes and lines, either repetitive triangles or in quadrilateral shapes.
