John Francis Bongiovi Jr, professionally known as Jon Bon Jovi, was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey on March 2, 1962 to former Marine and barber, John Francis Bongiovi, Sr and Playboy Bunny and florist, Carol Sharkey.

John has two brothers, Anthony and Matthew. ^[1]

He spent summers in Erie, Pennsylvania with his grandparents selling newspapers. He attended St Joseph High School during his freshman and sophomore years.
